ok i've access to a tree that has been felled (one with the helicopter seeds) about 8 weeks ago, it is in Yardley Birmingham in a womans back garden, the neighbour just cut it down and allowed it to fall across her garden and hasn't bothered with it since (i have names for people like that) it's quite big i estimate it was about 30foot tall ...

i'm posting here for folks that would be interested, obviously you'll have to transport it yourself/ selves but i am prepared to assist with a chainsaw to cut this tree into manageable logs (and help load) obviously the twiggier bits that are of no use to you can be left behind, it's the bulk that needs to be gone

the garden is badly overgrown but access to the tree is quite easy and i'll supply a good sackbarrow to help haul the logs out to the road

obviously the timber is free, she just wants it gone so she can start on rescuing her garden

1st of August i'm at a show and like some of you others i'll be attending the Landrover Max show at Stoneliegh later in the month, but i think i'm available most of the rest of the time

message me if you're interested and i'll pm you my phone number so something can be arranged

Cheers
Pete

Yo Dude,

I would have said sycamore if they are doubles and ash if they are singles (the helicopter blades).
Yardley is 11/2 hours from me so a haul, but if no one else comes forward in the next few days I will see if my lad can cut and collect it.

Where abouts in Birmingham, I might be interested, but will be travelling from Bedford, if it's east side I might be interested.  Have to weight up cost of fuel v's cost of buying in chopped seasoned wood ready to go  whistle

Yardley which is not too far from J5 of the M6, or if you're travelling the A45  it's about 2minutes from the Swan Island
